Explication
Les structures passives avancées englobent notamment les reporting passives (« It is said that… », « He is believed to… »), les formes causatives (« have/get something done ») et des passifs complexes avec des verbes de perception ou de contrainte (« be made to… »).
Le schéma « It is said/thought/known + that… » met l’accent sur l’information plutôt que sur la source. Avec un sujet animé, on emploie souvent « be said/thought/known + to + V » ou « to have + V-ed » pour le passé.
En causatif, « have/get + objet + participe passé » indique qu’on fait faire l’action par quelqu’un: « I had my car repaired ». Le passif construit la mise en relief, la neutralité et l’objectivité dans les registres formels.

- Causative: « We got the documents signed. »
- Constraint: « He was made to work late. »
