Les pronoms relatifs

Explication

Les pronoms relatifs relient deux phrases et évitent la répétition. Ils introduisent une proposition relative qui donne des informations supplémentaires.

Usage :

Les pronoms relatifs remplacent un nom ou un pronom dans la proposition relative.

Exemples

The woman who lives next door is a teacher.

→ La femme qui habite à côté est professeure.

This is the book which I told you about.

→ Voici le livre dont je t'ai parlé.

The man whose car was stolen called the police.

→ L'homme dont la voiture a été volée a appelé la police.

I remember the day when we first met.

→ Je me souviens du jour où nous nous sommes rencontrés.
