Emprunter (recevoir temporairement)
- Can I borrow your pen? (emprunter)
- I borrowed £50 from him. (J'ai emprunté)
→ L'objet vient VERS moi
LEND
Prêter (donner temporairement)
- Can you lend me £10? (me prêter)
- She lent me her car. (Elle m'a prêté)
→ L'objet part DE moi
Astuce : BORROW = prendre | LEND = donner. Pensez à la direction !
