Marier : MARRY ou GET MARRIED

Épouser quelqu'un ou se marier ? Attention à la construction !

Le piège expliqué

💍 MARRY + quelqu'un

Épouser quelqu'un (transitif direct)

She married John. (Elle a épousé John)

Will you marry me? (Veux-tu m'épouser ?)

Jamais "marry WITH" ou "marry TO" !

💒 GET MARRIED

Se marier (sans préciser avec qui)

They got married in June. (Ils se sont mariés en juin)

When are you getting married? (Quand vous mariez-vous ?)

Utilisé seul ou avec "to" si on précise le partenaire : "got married to John"
