Structure : wait + for + someone/something

S'attendre à = prévoir, anticiper

I expect him to be late. (Je m'attends à ce qu'il soit en retard)

I expect good results. (Je m'attends à de bons résultats)

Structure : expect + something / expect + someone + to do

I'm waiting for John = J'attends John (il arrive bientôt)

I expect John to come = Je m'attends à ce que John vienne
