Mechanic:
"Good morning! What seems to be the problem with your car?"
Customer:
"Hi, my car won't start this morning. The engine just won't turn over."
Mechanic:
"I see. When did you first notice this problem? Was there any warning yesterday?"
Customer:
"Yesterday it was a bit slow to start, but I thought it was just the cold weather."
Mechanic:
"It could be the battery or the starter motor. Let me take a look. How old is your battery?"
Customer:
"I think it's about three years old. Is that too old?"
Mechanic:
"That's right on the edge. I'll test it first. If it's the battery, we can replace it today for about £80."
Customer:
"That sounds reasonable. How long will it take?"
Mechanic:
"About 30 minutes. I'll call you when it's ready."
