Much vs Many vs A lot of — Exercice 2
Le choix entre much, many et a lot of dépend du caractère dénombrable du nom et du registre. Many s'emploie avec les noms dénombrables pluriels (many books), much avec les indénombrables (much time). A lot of est neutre et s'utilise dans les deux cas, surtout à l'affirmatif. Much et many sont préférés dans les questions et les phrases négatives, ainsi que dans le registre formel ou écrit. Attention aux expressions figées : how much, how many, too much, too many, so much, so many. Cet exercice vous aide à choisir la quantité correcte en fonction du nom et du type de phrase.
