Some people believe that smartphones should be banned in schools. In my opinion, a complete ban is not the best solution.
On the one hand, it is true that phones can be distracting. Students may check social media instead of listening, and cheating becomes easier during exams. For these reasons, many teachers support strict rules.
On the other hand, smartphones can also be valuable learning tools. They give instant access to dictionaries, educational videos and research. Moreover, learning to use technology responsibly is an essential skill for the future.
All things considered, I believe that schools should regulate phones rather than ban them completely. Clear rules — for example, no phones during lessons but access at break time — would keep the benefits while limiting the risks.
